4 ply Superwash Merino Yak Nylon Sock – Bare Wool

4ply weight yarns, also known as sock weight or fingering weight, are the perfect weight for socks, lightweight garments and accessories.

If you’re planning to make socks, choose a yarn with nylon for strength – this skein would be perfect!

Recommended needle size: 2.0mm – 4.0mm depending on the fabric you require for your project.

For socks: 2.0mm – 2.5mm
For sweaters: 2.75mm – 3.5mm
For shawls: 3.75mm – 4mm (creates a loose drapey fabric)

The yak in this skein gives it this beautiful colour – use it bare of dye it with our Jacquard Acid dyes. This takes dye beautifully!
