You’ll Be Hitting A Bullseye With This Scrapbook Layout

Hey Magpies, the ‘Game Night’ collection from Simple Stories is just the collection you need if you are a game player. The bold, bright colours pack a punch & I absolutely adore all of the gaming icons, from darts to dominoes, from Uno to the Monopoly Guy, it’s just so much fun!

For my base I used the ‘3×4 Elements’ paper & to contrast I used the ‘No Cheating!’ paper, placed at a slight angle. I then machined stitched in black along the edge of the angled paper just to add a little detail & bring more black into my page.

I decided to print my 4×6 photo in black & white for two reasons, firstly the quality of the photo wasn’t great & secondly it mirrors the black & white of the patterned paper. Next I selected all the stickers & ephemera relating to darts to embellish my layout, perfect for documenting a night out with the girls to play darts.

At the beginning of every televised darts match the announcer says the words ‘Let’s Play Darts!’ & as luck would have it the 12×12 Cardstock Sticker Sheet had the words ‘Let’s Play’, all I had to do was add ‘Darts’ with alpha stickers from my own stash. Don’t you just love those happy accidents? Thank you scrapbooking god’s.

To finish I added my journalling in the form of word strips & added some sparkle & a bit more black with a sprinkle of gems. What is your go to game night? Be sure to check out the ‘Game Night’ collection, it’s not one to be missed.
