You Are Awesome | Pretty Little Studio Good Vibrations | Emma Kate

Hey Magpies, I’m back again using the ‘Good Vibrations’ collection from Pretty Little Studio. My entire layout is centred around the ‘Shine Bright’ patterned paper, enhancing the star design with stitching.

To begin, I drew lines using pencil point to opposite point on each star, then pierced holes along each line using my paper piercer. With 3 strand embroidery thread, in a coordinating colour, I backstitched through each line.

Next I added my photo mounted with patterned paper from the 6×6 paper pack, using the same colours as in my title ‘You Are Awesome’. I then added ephemera pieces form the die cut pack & a frame from the frame die cuts.

I wanted to bring some more of the yellow into page so using a tiny star punch & a cut off off yellow patterned paper I punched lots of little yellow stars. Using foam tape I mounted a tiny star on to every smaller star on the Shine Bright patterned paper.

To finish, like always, I added a flourish of sparkles to my layout. I must admit, the stitching took me longer than I like to admit, but if you sit on the sofa in front of the telly it soon gets done, & I think you will agree it adds that something special.
