You Are Awesome! – Pink Fresh Studio – Keeping it Real – Wendy Meffan

Hi Magpies! We’re into April and lots of gorgeous new collections are arriving, This month, I have chosen Pinkfresh Studio Keeping it Real collection as it prompts me to document our  pandemic  life, but can still be used for general photos. For my first LO I decided to showcase some of the paper designs so created a diamond backdrop using three of the designs. I stitched around them and distressed the edges and attached them to the LO. I gutted the 12×12 Real Life paper and cutdown my 12×12 white cardstock to create a border.

I fussy cut the pieces from the 12×12 Big Mood paper which were relevant to my photos. and positioned them to each side of the photos. Then I mounted the photos on papers from the 6×6 paper pack.

I then cut some strips of paper in the same pattern as the diamonds and added them beneath the photos, I then added embellishments from the embellishment pack and the floral embellishment pack, along with the ‘awesome’ sticker from the puffy phrase sticker sheet

Above the photos I added a few more embellishments and some enamel dots.

Finally I journalled in the paper strips to explain the photos.

 

Layout 2 All The Feels

I had some great ice cream photos and as soon as I saw the ice cream ephemera I know what I was going to do! I chose the 12×12 Big Mood paper and scalloped the edge to look like an ice cream stall covering. I then stitched over the edges and added three layers, and attached  an enamel dot to each scallop.

I chose to use a 6×4 photo to show off the ice creams and then I matted it from the 6×6 paper pack. I chose the houses from the ephemera pack which were cafe and shop based.

I cut small strips from the 6×6 paper pack and used a scalloped border punch and added the strips below the photo.

I then added the ‘ice cream is cheaper than therapy ‘3×4 journal card from the cut apart sheet. I added a few pieces of ephemera above the photo and then used some mixed media splatters in water colour and white acrylic paint.

Finally I added the Right Now puffy phrase sticker in the top of the LO as a title.

I was pleased with these LO and although this collection is predominantly for the pandemic it has lots of beautiful flowers and ephemera which can be used on other themes.
