YAY | My Mind’s Eye | Morag Cutts

Hi there friends. It’s good to be positive when we can during lockdown. I certainly find that crafting helps me especally scrapping happy events.  I left my job as a training manager 18 months ago to persue my business full time. It was a risk and I certainly missed my lovely colleagues but I’m happy to say that things are going great.

I used the My Mind’s Eye Yay collection for this layout. The 6×8″ Paper Pad has 24 sheets of double sided card stock with many being foiled. They are perfect for layering and die cutting.

 

I smooshed Distress Ink on my background to add a bit of colour and interest before stamping here and there in the same colour.  The cardstock sticker book has a marvellous mix of titles, elements and other stickers. These are perfect for all sorts of celebrations. This title sticker is foiled in gold at the bottom – it’s so eyecatching!

I layered more stickers at the top of the page and mixed it in with some die cut tags and flags. The key is to add layers and layers for a really detailed effect.

I do love a flag – I made these using a cocktail stick and added a sticker over the top or hand cut banner from the paper scraps.  I mixed in more stickers from the book including the small gold stars.
