Willow & Honey & Spice | Julie Taylor
Hi Magpies, I have 2 layouts to share today mixing the collections, Willow by one canoe two & Heidi Swapp Honey & Spice. They work really well together, each having the same colour tones.
Refresh
My first layout is a photo of me!! I don’t like having my photo taken but with the introduction of snapchat I’ll happily snap away so have at least some of me to scrap.
On this page I used no patterned paper at all, I love doing this & make my own background with inks & stamps & add just die cuts & embellishments. I added some oxides inks, tea dye, tattered rose & mustard seed, to the background & added a few background stamps. I then inked a piece of watercolour paper & stamped the 2 butterflies & some stamped leaves & fussy cut them all out.
I then built my clusters up around my central photo, adding leaves, gold doily, tag & flowers from both Willow & Honey & Spice embellishment packs. I added my title, out the Willow puffy stickers, on some ribbon to make it pop more & hung one of the gorgeous stamped metal copper charms from the f in refresh.
Full of Joy
For my second layout I chose to use the different colours in the collections & used more of Willow on this layout.
I first added some oxide inks & gold texture paste to the background & then added Deep breath paper & Ambrose blooms paper, at an angle, to the top of the layout with some hessian & pompom trip added around the edge.
I added my photo, under the papers, to the left & added lots of leaves, tags, embellishments coming from the photo, down to the right. I added a few leather leaves, out my stash, & some I’d embossed. I fussy cut some more & added the wooden ones from the mixed embellishment pack.
before sticking down my photo I wrapped around some twine & added another stamped metal copper charm. I just love these & think they add a real luxurious feel.
Thanks for joining me today,
Until next time, happy scrapping
