Wildflower & Honey | Julie Taylor
Hi Magpies, I’ve been playing with the fabulous Wildflower & Honey from Vicki Boutin this month & loving it!! Full of rich colours with a tonne of embellishments to add to your pages.
Fly
For this page I wanted to concentrate on the beautiful foiled vellum speciality paper that was covered with butterflies & just asking to be fussy cut!!
I cut out a stunning cut file & watercolored it using the watercolour markers, just to add a touch of colour & backed the open bits with some of the lighter patterned papers. I stitched a messy circle, on my background page, to add the cut file on top & added my title/journalling in the centre using the sketch pen on my silhouette cameo.
Then it was just a case of layering up the butterflies & dotting them around the page & adding my photo on a few of the larger die cuts out the frames & journalling ephemera pack.
The finishing touch was to cut down the background cardstock, distress the edges & add to Field of Dreams paper.

For my second page I used a sheet out of the mixed media backgrounds paper pad from the Kaleidoscope collection but added some extra ink splatters & some texture paste through one of the stencils out of the Icons stencil set.
I ripped the right side of the paper down & added a couple of layers of patterned paper along with some pompom trip & a doily.
I stamped the large flowers, from the stamps & die set, onto vellum, fussy cut & added them to the left of my photo, layering it up with die cuts, stickers & chipboard accent thickers.
My title comes from the Icons ephemera die cut pack & I also used a chipboard accent thicker piece as a secondary title.
I hope you have enjoyed my take on this lovely collection & I’ll be back towards the end of the month with more to share.
