Wildflower and Honey – Part 2 | Giselle Homer
Hi again Magpies,
Not long now till the big day, I hope that you’ve factored in some scrapping time during the Christmas break! My second batch of projects for this month, using Vicki Boutin’s Wildflower and Honey, are a layout, a calendar and a card.
Firstly the layout – I began by applying some colour with a round dry brush onto my base page. I used Vicki Boutin Art Crayons to mix a small amount of colour and added yellow, orange and red to the mix. Once that had dried, I splattered some orange ink, then I layered my photo with a few pieces from the collection and glued it to the centre.

I chose a large tag from the ephemera pack and tucked it behind the photo on the left with a circular sticker, a large die cut sunflower and a butterfly.

I added another tag to the top right of the photo with a word sticker, a die cut flower and butterfly.

Then I added a large die cut flower group to the lower right corner.

For my title I used a phrase from the ephemera pack and alphabet stickers from Pinkfresh Studios.
And now to my second project; a calendar which I make every year for my Mum as a Christmas present! I decided to use this collection as it works well with all my photos and allows me to have a cohesive design throughout the calendar.
The range of colours is great for each month and the addition of die cut ephemera, tags and stickers added a little variety to each of the photos. I printed all of my photos at the same size and layered them all with white and Kraft cardstock. Having a neutral colour scheme allowed me to add embellishments and die cuts to every photo to enhance each month’s design.
Finally I made this card using scraps of paper to back a cute cut file!
I love how scrapbooking lends itself so well to other projects such as these!
Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and a scrapbooking-filled New Year! See you all in 2020 with lots more layouts to share.
Till then, happy scrapping everyone!
