A whole lotta Heidi Swapp!
Well, I gathered up all my Heidi Swapp stash, ordered some of the newer products from the shop and the LO’s just wouldn’t stop coming this month! So I have seven LO’s for you. I made myself stop cause I thought everyone would get far too bored with me otherwise. All the LO’s are pretty clean and simple but I enjoyed creating them all!
My first LO uses one of the 5×7″ Watercolour Paper sheets from the new Wanderlust collection. You get 8 sheets in the pack, two each of four different designs. I’ve used two of the different sheets on my LO’s here, ‘my happy place’ and ‘the fun stuff’, there’s also ‘you make me smile’ and a sort of cheesehole effect one with scattered holes in, a bit like scattered sequins. They are a nice thick watercolour paper with the words/holes cut of it so there’s loads of options for these sheets. For my LO here, I sprayed the sheet with some inks to get a colour gradient and then flicked some white ink and water over to get a more interesting effect.
I laid my coloured 5×7 paper down and then layered on some embellishments. I used the large pink heart from the PL Exclusives Outline Stickers, some of the White Flocked Clear embellishments from the Wanderlust collection. I used a line of charcoal adhesive pearls above the watercolour sheet and a line of clear rhinestones underneath. I punched a circle frame from purple cardstock and layered a white flocked heart, Hey Little Magpie Exclusive Flair Badge and an arrow sticker from the MAMBI Puffy Stickers Love Arrows pack on top. I seriously love those MAMBI puffy stickers, they’re only £1.99 a pack and they’re so handy, I use them on so many LO’s, the arrows are especially useful. I have a large stash of them on hand lol!
My second LO I used one of the Lace Paper sheets from the Wanderlust 5×7″ Lace Paper Pack. Like the watercolour sheets, the pack has eight sheets, two each of four designs. I’ve used both of one of the designs on my LO’s this month. The sheets are cut from something that feels like a thin but tough card but it could even be a thin wood? It’s good stuff and I just used repositionable Herma to adhere.
I also used one of the wood veneer titles on this LO, Celebrate. This is made from a much thicker piece of wood veneer and is really good quality and value for money. I ended up painting my title, trying to match the same green as the ‘love this’ puffy sticker I used at the top of the photo. I mixed up my own acrylic paints to try and get the colour right. I didn’t really succeed but it’s close enough! Then I put layers of Glossy Accents on top to make it shine.
Again, I used a MAMBI Puffy Arrow Sticker from the Chalk Arrows this time. The ‘love this’ puffy sticker is from the Hello Beautiful Chat Stickers pack and also the puffy black & white striped heart is from the Hello Beautiful Puffy Hearts Stickers pack. I also used one of the Wanderlust Watercolour Tags under the photo and I just left it plain.
On this LO I have again, used the Wanderlust 5×7″ Lace Paper and another one of the Watercolour Tags. The tags pack has four plain thick watercolour tags and then four printed tags. I used some watercolours on this tag in blue and lime green, to reflect the sky and grass in the photo. I used another wood veneer title, this time ‘Enjoy the View’. I left the title plain this time.
I have embellished using some of the various MAMBI Puffy Stickers, Hey Little Magpie Exclusive Flair, and some gold chipboard embellishments from the Hello Beautiful Gold Foil Chipboard Shapes pack. The dots along the bottom of the LO are from that pack, so easy to add a line of bling easily!
I used another of the 5×7″ Watercolour Pages for this next LO. I left it plain this time and painted on a sheet from a watercolour pad underneath so the colours would show through the die cut words. I layered over some black & white striped paper from the Favourite Things collection and then I drew fake stitching down the sides with a white pen. I embellished with some Hey Little Magpie Exclusive Flair, a puffy heart from the Hello Beautiful Puffy Hearts pack, a puffy word sticker from the Hello Beautiful Puffy Chat Bubbles, and some word stickers from the Favourite Things Word Jumble Stickers down the side of the photo.
Next up are a few grid LO’s, the bottom two using Project Life cards and this one using paper. What I did was start with my photo and I cut a piece of patterned paper the exact same size. I used the Wanderlust Cafe Paper. The whole LO is based around the photo and the corresponding sized paper. I just cut strips and rectangles of paper and whacked them on! I’ve also used the cut strip from the bottom of some papers too. I used the super lush turquoise striped Seaside Paper and both sides of the Vineyard Paper. I used another of the wood veneer titles, Hello Sun Shine. This time I used some yellow Mister Huey mist on it. I waited for that to dry and then used Heidi Swapp’s gorgeous Gold Lame Colour Shine Spritz on top. This gave it a lovely shimmer and sparkle and it really does look like sunshine to me. I embellished with some of the Favourite Things Puffy Shape Stickers and called this one done.
These last two LO’s are super simple ones. They come together so easily and I have done LO’s in this style so many times. I’ve just used 6 Project Life Cards, both LO’s are done with cards from the Heidi Swapp Favourite Things Core Kit. This kit is so bright and cheerful, I didn’t really need to add many embellishments. To this one I added a title using one of the PL cards, the ‘birthday’ comes from the Maggie Holmes Confetti 6×12″ Title & Journalling Stickers pack. Sure, I’m splitting up happy birthday but I know I’ll be able to use the happy somewhere else no problem. The ‘girl’ is using Crate Paper Craft Market Marquee Thickers. Other embellishments I used came from the Heidi Swapp PL Exclusives Sheer Stickers sheet, the Hello Beautiful Puffy Chat Stickers, the Hello Beautiful Puffy Hearts Stickers and the Hello Beautiful Gold Foil Chipboard Shapes.
And my last LO is the same as the one above, but turned horizontal instead of vertical. It’s just a great way to use up some of those PL cards cause I’m sure I’m not the only one with lots of them stashed away! This time used the love on one of the cards as part of the title, and added one of the Dear Lizzy Serendipity Watercolour Paper Die Cut Words. I didn’t even colour the word as I didn’t think I needed to. There’s some of my favourite MAMBI Puffy Stickers, some words from Heidi Swapp PL Exclusives Sheer Stickers and the Favourite Things Word Jumble Stickers and then I used some really old photo turns and airplane & arrow brads from my stash.
So that’s my offering using a lot of Heidi Swapp stash. I love the bright colours of her collections and the Hello Beautiful and Wanderlust collections are definitely not just for using in planners! I am sure I could have carried on making another 7 LO’s quite easily using my Heidi Swapp stuff, it all works so well together!
