Vicki Boutin – Where to Next | Manchester

Happy August! This month I have been creating layouts using Vicki Boutins travel themed collection called “Where To Next?”. Its one of my current favourites, there is so much variety that they suit all kinds of photos, and its so happy and cheerful too.

Hey Little Magpie x JD3D Print – Large Lined Stars

This layout is very loosely based around the sketch that I designed for last months HLM Challenge.

I started by sewing three areas of horizontal black stitching with my sewing machine. I made them deliberately wonky…honest!

I then fussy cut the row of buildings from the City Street patterned paper, and placed them in the middle section to the left hand side.

I matted my 3 small photos with items from the Paperie Pack. If you havent purchased one of the American Crafts Paperie Packs before, I can highly recommend them. Although they are only made of thin paper (plus some washi stickers) they are outstanding value and a great way to get lots of bits and pieces from a collection.

I created my title in the lower right of the page. I used a washi word from the Paperies pack, and then some different colours of the Bella Blvd Florence alpha stickers. They are another fav, and I had to get all the colours of course!

Lastly I decorated the layout with some stickers from the collections sticker book, a JD3D Print Star in pink, and also some of the circles from the alphabet sheets that were actually meant to be disguarded to form a hanging hole!
