Vicki Boutin Let’s Wander | Jo Boland Part 2

Hey, how are you all doing? This month, I’m sharing some more scrapbook layouts made with the Vicki Boutin Let’s Wander collection. Of course, right at this point in time we are not allowed to wander. But, we can document where we might like to go when we’re allowed to again and where we’ve been in the past. My first layout focuses on where we will go when this is all over and my second on where we’ve been in the past.

Layout 1 – When This Is All Over.

This layout uses a large piece of the Vicki Boutin Fly Away With Me paper with two strips of a Simple Stories travel paper from the Going Places collection called Let’s Get Lost. I used a dark kraft cardstock as the base for this layout, just felt I’d have a change from white.

I used cardstock stickers from the Vicki Boutin collection to embellish the layout and letter stickers from Heidi Swapp for my title. I also cut out some little paper planes from the spare paper and popped them up on foam pads.

I added a few little chipboard stickers to the layout too, like the stars, arrows and pins.

The idea for the layout actually came from the cardstock stickers that start ‘ooooh!!! I’m gonna…’, which made me think about where we’d go, what we’d eat and what we’d do. I used photos from past trips to illustrate the where and what.

Layout 2 – ‘Titanic’

This layout documents a past trip to Northern Ireland and what is now the Titanic Hotel, but what was the Harland & Wolf drawing rooms and offices. I love this place. I love the history and the way it’s been tastefully renovated. I love that non-guests are welcome to go and enjoy the old drawing rooms and look around the old offices.

I used those Heidi Swapp letter stickers again on this layout and chose a powder blue cardstock for the background (I’m not sure which one this is as I’ve had it in my stash for ages). I used a piece of the b-side of Chasing Stars paper (love this paper) behind my photo cluster, plus a strip of Around Here paper. Plus a couple of the cut apart cards from the Wish You Were Here paper (the postcard and the lime green under the large photo).

I cut out two polaroids frames (and the centres) from the Picture Perfect paper and layered photos underneath them. I also fussy cut some vellum stars from the Foiled Vellum Speciality paper and some stars from the Chasing Stars paper. I embellished the page with both cardstock and chipboard stickers from the collection. Lastly, I splattered some watered down gold paint on the layout.
