Versatile Travel Collection from Carta Bella
It’s that time of year when our thoughts turn to our summer travel plans. While I’m waiting for my summer holiday, I do like to get in the mood by scrapping a previous holiday. The Let’s Travel collection from Carta Bella really inspired me to get scrapping.

When we visited Prague in the Czech Republic, I was not only in awe of the amazing buildings, but also I loved the old fashioned trams. I paired the photo with a retro Coco-Cola truck I saw on our travels to help tell my story.

To create the layout, I die-cut several tags from the papers – Just Landed Tourist Class Postage Stamps Life is Good

I then laid down some Distress Oxide Inks (Peacock Feathers and Fossilized Amber) onto my background. I layered up the photos and tags to create texture. It’s a good idea to use tags upside down so that they also appear below a photo too.

The cardstock sticker element sheet has loads of stickers to choose from. I mounted some onto foam tape before layering them down the middle of the page. The Horizon Stamps by Pink Paislee have adorable layers to make little globes. Great for embellishing a page!

In my next layout I wanted to use the banner title on the cardstock sticker element sheet As the title is quite large, I kept the rest of the page simple.

I hand cut a polaroid style frame from patterned paper and stitched the edges for a bit of detail. I layered up the stickers and die-cut ephemera.

You can tell I love little planes! This time I sewed across the page to link up with a chipboard plane.

I can’t wait for our holiday now – I’ll be sure to take lots of photos and create more pages from this really versatile collection!
Thanks for stopping by.
