Using Tags On Your Scrapbook Layout | Take Note Simple Stories | Emma Kate

Hey Magpies, tags are the main focus of this layout, hidden behind layers of ephemera & photos, it’s a great way to add pops of colour. Using the Tag Elements 12×12 patterned paper from the ‘Take Note’ collection from Simple Stories I selected 5 tags to add to my page, adding coordinating ribbon to each tag.

I tucked each tag behind a layer of patterned paper or my 2 & 1/2 inch square photo’s, the largest section of patterned paper measuring 6 inches in height, the other two around an inch. Then using the Floral Bits & Pieces Die Cuts Pack I embellished the tags, making sure to include the flowers at every layer.

Next I added my ‘Smiles & Swings’ title using alphas from my own stash plus my journalling underneath. I used the Courier New font in size 10 then cut into strips so that my journalling was visible against the patterned paper.

To finish I added some fussy cut butterflies, stickers from the 12×12 Cardstock Stickers sheet & a scattering of sequins. Tags are so versatile & can be used in a number of ways, it makes the cut apart sheets great value.
