Using Stamps – Pink Fresh Studio

Hello Magpies, Jackie here with my layouts for June.  This month I’m using a few of the lovely new stamp sets from Pink Fresh Studio on my 3 layouts.  I love stamps, and clear stamps are definitely one of my scrapbooking weaknesses.  So it was good to be able to use some of these sets on my layout.
In the shop recently they have added some Stix 2 Permanent Tape Runner, so I decided to give them a go and see how they worked on my layouts, especially using over the distressed background.  I used them on all 3 layouts and they worked great.  I do have a ATG gun, but these work just as well and being smaller than my ATG gun I was able to use them on the smaller elements on my layouts with no problem.
For my first one, JUMP, I used a sheet of white cardstock for my background which I lightly distressed, and I stamped  ‘You Got This’ using a light grey ink, all over the background, so that the words can be seen peeping around the edges of the patterned paper.
I used 3 photographs, taken on a recent day visit to Chatsworth House and Garden with Sam, Sheena and me trying to do a jump, I lost count of how many photographs were taken just trying to get these shots, but we did have a laugh.

I mounted these photographs onto some vellum, and then a piece of brown floral paper from my stash, before mounted it onto a piece of  Pinkfresh Studio – Life Noted – Pascal Paper.

make the embellishment clusters, I stamped the background stamp onto some plain yellow paper, and cut them out.  As I wanted to used some of the word as embellishments, I stamped  onto white cardstock, and had a colour-wash effect using some of  the same ink I used for the background and a water brush.

I added a new flair badge from Hey Little Magpie, I stamped the little banner stamp onto some Kraft cardstock to use as name labels which I added to the top of each photograph.

adding some wood veneer – some I painted in the same colour wash I used for the stamped phases.

I finished the page by stamping a design at the top and the bottom using the triangle stamp in this set  and adding some washi tape and machine stitching to the layout, to give it some more texture.

For my 2nd layout, I used this lovely Pink Fresh Studio, Life Noted – This Life Paper, as you can see from the background I went a bit crazy with distressing the background, but as the paper was so bright I wanted to tone it down.

After distressing the background with ink, and acrylic paint, I stamped the background with phases from this set Pink Fresh studio – Good Sayings stamps.  I mounted the photographs onto a selection of papers from Pink Fresh Studio – Felcity 6×6 pad I also added with tissue paper under the photograph to give it some extra texture.
Again I stamped some of the word phases on plain paper and cut them out and added around the photographs., as well as using some of the phases from the Pink Fresh Studio – Felicity – Phase Stickers , I also added some the the Pink Fresh Studio – Felicity – Coloured Blocked Wood Veneer,  Pink Fresh Studio – Life Noted – Rubber Charm Stickers, and also added two flair badges from Hey Little Magpie.

I just loved this paper with the large word across the page, and wanted the word to form part of my title, so I added ‘Hello’ to the top the page, and then added ‘Be You’ to the bottom of the page from the pack of Pink Fresh Studio – Life Noted – Acetate Die – Cut Words, adding some machine stitching to add more texture to my page..

For my final layout this month, Birthday Treat, I did a 9×12 size one, which I will be giving to my lovely friend Barbara to add to her birthday album.  We spent a lovely day in Stratford for her birthday and as a surprise we booked to have afternoon tea at one of the many cafes in the town.
I used a piece of paper from Cocoa Vanilla – Free Spirit – Wildflowers –  I only had  a 5 inch piece, so I cut it in half and I was able to use both sides on this layout. which I added to the top of  a 6 inch piece of WRMK – Crush – Hypnotised paper and used the b-side as the main base of the layout.
I backed the photographs onto some black cardstock as I wanted them to stand out from the patterned papers.

Again, I stamped some of the phases and cut out to use as part of the embellishment clusters on the page.

I also coloured some of them using the same technique I mentioned previously.

For the title I used the black Pink Fresh Studio – Felicity – Alphabet Stickers and some others from my stash.  I’ve added some machine stitching details around the page to add extra texture.

I hope you like how I’ve used these stamp sets on my layouts, and also give the Stix2 tape runners a go, which are so easy to use and works just as well as my ATG gun.

See you soon
