Using Layers To Create A Scrapbook Layout | Arden Creative Studio – Garden Chronicles | Emma Kate

Hey Magpies, layering can add interest & depth to any scrapbook layout, not to mention its fun because you get to use lots of your stash. To begin my page I used the 6×8 Rub On’s from the ‘Garden Chronicles’ by Arden Creative Studio collection randomly placed around the outer edge.

I then created my grid & second layer using the ‘Clipboard Coverings Vol II’ die set also from Arden Creative Studio, this set has 8 pieces which can be layered in numerous ways. My 4×6 inch photo was mounted at the centre of that grid.

For my third layer I fussy cut florals from a patterned paper in the same collection & adhered them overlapping the grid. I also added sprigs of foliage in white cardstock to contrast against the bold colours, these were cut using the ‘Fern Valley’ dies.

For my final layer & finishing touches I added a handful of butterflies both Die Cut & Rub On, plus a sprinkle of sequins & gems. How many layers can you add to your layout out? What pieces of stash will you use?
