Using up Crate Paper FaLaLa
Hi there! Niki here today. I have used the Crate Paper FaLaLa collection for my December Daily album this year (which is nearly finished by the way) but even though I used loads and loads of the collection for that, I still had quite a bit left over. Mosty papers, some of the 6×6 papers and a few embellishments.
So instead of put it all in a drawer for the next 12 months (until next Christmas) and then not use it anyway, I thought I’d see if I could get it used up. I made some Christmas cards. The one above is for my husband – it’s a big card at 6×8″ and then I also made six little cards, they are 3×5″
I also made these little hot chocolate gifts – I bought some little jars from a local shop and filled them with hot chocolate powder, plus a layer of mini marshmallows and finished them off with a little candy cane. I decorated themw ith a couple of tags, a strip of paper, some gold thread and those cute birds from FaLaLa.
I also made these gift bags. I bought the bags but decorated them with some gold ribbon, some cute tags and the birds from FaLaLa. I filled them with Lindt chocolates – yummy! These were our table favours on Christmas Day.
I love to decorate things some my home and I picked up this picture frame for £2 and decorated it with lots of things from FaLaLa. I now have a very cute Christmas picture I can hang up each year. I used up some of the final pieces from the chipboard sheet, the snowflakes, some stickers and some bits from the cut apart sheets.
I also picked up this little crate – it was plain wood and I painted it red inside and out. I just used water colour paint. I then added strips of FaLaLa paper to the front and decorated with a snowflake and lots of things cut out from the FaLaLa papers. I have just used this for a home decor item so have filled with with Christmas baubles and other Christmassey things.
Here is another little home decor item. I bought this little wooden bird house ornament and painted it. I then carefully cut papers to cover each panel and added a bird from the FaLaLa collection. For those of you who know me well, you know I am not into birds at all, which is probably why I had so many left over!
And finally, I am completely in love with my Travellers Notebook at the moment and use it as a bullet journal, ie I write lots of lists in it! I therefore used up the last of my papers and embellishments making a TN spread, ready for my festive list!
Even though I usually am a die-hard scrapbooker, I do really enjoy making other things and I’m so pleased I have used up all the leftovers from the FaLaLa collection as it was too beautiful to sit in a drawer!
Merry Christmas everyone, I hope you all had wonderful Christmasses with your families
