Using A 6×6 Paper Pad To Create A 12×12 Scrapbook Layout | Echo Park | Emma Kate
Hey Magpies, I wanted to show you that you don’t always need 12×12 patterned paper to create a 12×12 layout, you can create some fun pages with a 6×6 pad too. I began this layout by cutting 1×5 inch strips of patterned paper from the Echo Park ‘Telling Our Story’ 6×6 paper pad.
I then arranged these strips to create four 5×5 inch squares, turning each square 90 degrees to alternate the direction of the strips. To add a little extra texture to the background I hand stitched in colour coordinating embroidery thread along the edges using a back stitch.
Next I placed my two 3×3 inch photos at the centre of my layout & embellished using the Chipboard Accents. The typewriter & my title ‘Happy Memories’ I fussy cut from the 6×6 Paper Pad.
To finish I typed out my journalling in Word using the Courier New Font then cut into strips adding it underneath my title, plus added some sparkle with a scattering of gems & sequins. Give a 6×6 paper pad a try, you can create more than you think!
