Truly Grateful Part 2 | Giselle Homer
Hi Magpies, here we are half way through October already and I have two more layouts using Pink Paislee’s Truly Grateful collection.
Family
As I did earlier this month I started the first one by spraying some ink and by masking the base so that the ink covered just a triangle shape on the right side.
I used a stencil and some pale green ink to add a row of leaves along the edge and then added some pale orange flowers for a little contrast. I added a few ink sprinkles over the remaining part of the base.
This collection has so many pretty die cuts so I took advantage of that to add some flowers and leaves flowing down from the top right to the bottom left. I glued a circular tag at the lower left of the photo in among the flowers.
I backed the photo with a white cardstock and few patterned papers and glued it just left of centre. I placed my title on a thin strip of green paper to make it more prominent and glued it below the photo and, as ever, I finished the layout with some enamel dots! What would I do without them?!
Go See the World
My next layout is completely different from the others as it’s boy themed. The collection has a couple of darker patterns so I chose this blue one as my base. I used a cut file of polaroid shaped frames some of which I adjusted to work with the photos. It’s a fun way to show off lots of photos on one page.
For the remaining frames I back filled them using just one patterned paper as I didn’t want it to look too ‘busy’. I added some word stickers, leaves and flowers to embellish them.
I fussy cut a phrase sticker to make it fit one of the frames and added some puffy stickers in between the frames.
Then I added the title in the space to the right using a white puffy alphabet which contrasts well with the base paper. Two little arrows were the finishing touch!
I look forward to seeing some of your layouts on our Facebook page and, don’t forget, there’s always a challenge every month to join in with.
Until next month, happy scrapping everyone!
