Truly Grateful | Giselle Homer
Hello again Magpies, here we are already in October and I have two layouts to share today using the gorgeous ‘Truly Grateful’ collection from Pink Paislee. It’s full of autumn colours, soft pinks, blues and greens, so it’s just right for this time of year. And there’s plenty of pretty ephemera too, so putting a layout together is a breeze!
My Birthday

For my first layout I started by making a circular mask which I used to spray some blue ink to make a circle of colour just left of the middle of the page. Then I placed a long piece of patterned paper on the right of the base, overlapping part of the circle.

I backed my photo in white cardstock and one patterned paper. I placed this to the right of the inky circle and added some die cut flowers alongside it, leaving a little space to write all my friend’s names.

Then I added my long title, using a small puffy alphabet all around the edge of the circle – that took a couple of attempts before I was happy with the result!

I fussy cut some butterflies and glued them along the edge of the patterned paper above the circle. I glued a tag below and to the right of the photo and some blue enamel dots below the flowers.
Sisters Together
For my second layout I started by sprinkling some yellow, orange and red ink on the base page and added some tiny stamped flowers in yellow.
For my title I used a cut file and backfilled it with the tiny flower paper. I glued it into place towards the lower edge of the page.
I cut a couple of papers to go behind behind my photo and placed it so that it fitted just above the title. I also included a little tag at the top left of the photo.
Then I added some die cut flowers and leaves from the collection to the right of the photo.
I used one of the gold coloured word die cuts to place over the lower right edge of the title. A few more flowers and some enamel dots finished off the layout.
That’s it from me for now, I’ll be back later in the month with two new layouts using this lovely collection.
Until then, happy scrapping everyone!
