Travel Highlights, Simple Stories Happy Travels collection | Julie Taylor

Hello everyone & welcome back to the blog. Julie here with you today & I’m sharing a layout using the lovely Happy Travels collection from Simple Stories. I just love a travel collection & the colours in this one are perfect, all my faves!!!

I started with a piece of white cardstock & added some Salvaged Patina oxide ink through one of the new Hey Little Magpie stencils, Confetti Triangles & added some ink around the edge of the page. I drew around the triangles to make them pop.

I die cut different sizes of unequal triangles in patterned paper from the 6×8 paper pad & machine stitched around each one & layered these up, top right & bottom left pointing outwards.

I added my photos in a vertical column, down the centre, adding 3 photos, 2 portrait & 1 landscape & tucked in tags, die cuts, stickers & chipboard all around the edges.

I’ve used an Hey Little Magpie exclusive canvas flair for Las Vegas, as this is where we were, on a fabulous helicopter flight over the Grand Cannon & seeing the Hoover Dam!!!

Also added the camera charm, out the June embellishment kit, as it matched perfectly with the colours of this collection.
