Together Scrapbook Layout – February Embellishment Kit – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone! It’s Wendy here with my second layout for February and I am showcasing the Hey Little Magpie February Embellishment kit. It is perfect for some gorgeous photos of my daughter and her boyfriend at a wedding dancing together. I have used an old Bella Boulevard Collection… Our Love Song  to compliment the kit.

As my photos were in back and white I decided to create a black border around the layout so gutted the12x12 black heart paper and trimmed the white cardstock, and thens tuck them together.

I then used the Hey Little Magpie Heart stencil and created a background using Picked Raspberry distress oxide. I outlined some of the hearts using a black fine liner. i matted my three photos and placed them just off centre across the page. I build up a photo mat behind them using papers from collection. I used the round film die by Hey Little Magpie to adda large pink embellishment behind the photos. I also added the pale pink braid from the embellishment kit. I also cut  a black tag from the heart paper to compliment the border and tucked it partially behind the photos. I then added the Together acrylic title over the top of the photos.

I stapled the printed heart cotton ribbon to the tag and attached the small pink bow, both from the embellishment kit.

 

To the right of the photo mat I tucked in some ephemera and I fussy cut a duke box. I then used a heart and flower from the embellishment kit. ther eare two wooden word phrases in the embellishment kit which were perfect to place under the photos.

Finally I created a small cluster at the top of the page and added the heart charm from the embellishment kit.

This is such a beautiful kit to use and especially with Valentine’s Day approaching. Do take a look!
