Together – Obed Marshall – Fantastico – Part 2 – Wendy Meffan
Hi Everyone! I’m back on the blog sharing two more Summer layouts using the gorgeous Fantastico Collection by Obed Marshall. The tones in this collection are gorgeous and they lend themselves so well to my Summer photos!
I chose to use the 12×12 Instants paper and cut up all the sections on it. Having distressed all the edges I left out all the pink sections and arranged the pieces back on a piece of 12×12 white cardstock. I raised some on sticky fixers for added dimension. As a pompom lover I found some which coordinated and added them along the bottom of the curve.
I used two photos and made one square so it would fit in the chipboard frame from the chipboard sticker sheet, I then matted the second photo on the b side of the 12×12 Up and Down paper. I then made a clusters around the photos using the ephemera and accent and phrase stickers.
To finish the cluster I also fussy cut the oranges from the 12×12 Sweet and Sour paper, and added them.
I added some ephemera and the chipboard heart lolly over the top of the photo frame to finish the cluster.
To balance the layout I felt I needed to create another small cluster at the bottom part of the layout. I used more ephemera and accent and phrase stickers to create this.
Finally I added some gold thicker letters for the title and some paint splatters.
LAYOUT 2 – Here and Now
For this layout I did not have much of the collection left so decided to use strips of paper as the main effect of the back ground. Initially I cut down a piece of 12×12 cardstock and used the edge of the 12×12 Sweet and Sour paper as a border. (I had been careful in my fussy cutting of the oranges to leave the edge in case I decided to use it as a border.
I made a mixed media background in coordinating colours to the papers. Next I distressed the edges of all the paper strips and positioned them down the page. I then stitched them onto the cardstock.
I used the happiness tag from the ephemera and made two more tags in the papers I and left, again distressed all the edges and position them behind the two photos and a journal card from the ephemera. I added hemp twine to the tags.
Finally I embellished the paper strips with sticker phrases and some fussy cut oranges, once again I added some short lengths of pompoms over the strips of paper. Around the photos I embellished with ephemera and accent and phrase stickers. The final finishing touches was white splatters in gesso over the layout.
I was really pleased with both layouts again and loved this sunny bright collection, translating the Spanish words meant I could use them appropriately on the layout.
If you haven’t looked at this collection it is worth a view!

Till next month …
Happy Scrapping!
