A layout using the February Embellishment Kit.

I had so much fun creating today’s scrapbook layout using the February Embellishment Kit, and honestly, this kit could not be more perfect for documenting love-filled memories. With its gorgeous collection of love-themed bits and pieces, it was the ideal choice for showcasing photos from an engagement photo shoot.


For this page, I worked with one 3.5 x 3.5 photo alongside a couple of 2.5 x 3 photos. I built my photo clusters using a mix of embellishments from my own stash and then layered in all the beautiful elements from the February kit. Mixing stash items with the kit is one of my favourite ways to stretch supplies while still letting the kit shine, and the results always feel so personal and unique.

To add interest to the background, I did some subtle stencilling onto white cardstock using the Distressed Tiles stencil from Arden Creative Studio. I blended in Salvaged Patina Oxide ink for a soft pop of colour, then finished it off with a few splatters of Victorian Velvet Oxide ink. These small details add so much depth without overpowering the photos.

The photos are placed top left, middle right, and bottom left, creating a loose visual triangle across the page. I added two extra embellishment clusters in between to help guide the eye around the layout and keep everything feeling connected. This approach is a great way to use lots of embellishments while still maintaining balance and flow.


I absolutely love the texture and dimension that the embellishment clusters bring to this page. This layout really highlights how effective embellishments can be when layered thoughtfully, and it’s such a satisfying way to document special moments filled with love.


This February Embellishment kit is truly packed full of gorgeous bits & pieces!! I have used lots of them & still have lots left for more layouts.
