Tis The Season to be Jolly! – Crate Paper – Mittens and Mistletoe – Wendy Meffan
Hi Everyone and Happy New year! It’s Wendy here and I’m kicking off the New Year using Crate Paper Mittens and Mistletoe Collection which I absolutely loved when I saw it. I loved the whole colour scheme and how Christmassy it was. I know some people are totally over scrapping Christmas but I am using Christmas Day photos which obviously I can’t do before Christmas. I wanted to make sure I actually document this Christmas rather than waiting for new collections next December and using the previous year’s photos!
I love the effect of torn paper so made a centre panel using the 12×12 All is Bright paper and tore two more strips using the reverse side. I tucked them under each side of the centre panel and rolled their edges. I positioned the photo just off centre and used the 12×12 Holly Jolly sheet which is a Cut Apart sheet and used a 3×4 Happiness and Cheer card. I then added a mini tag from the journalling ephemera pack, distressed the edges and then made a cluster of presents behind it from the sticker sheet and puffy stickers.
I used the large postcard from the journalling ephemera pack and added a floral sticker from the sticker sheet in the corner and added a decorative brad.
In the stamp place on the postcard I added a stamp from the tear apart stamps also in the journalling ephemera pack. I then fussy cut the Tis the Season to be Jolly bauble from the Holly Jolly cut apart sheet and stuck it above the postcard.
To the right of the photo I used another journal card from the journalling ephemera and added a few stickers from the sticker sheet and some puffy stickers forming another cluster.
Finally under the photo I added a few more stickers from the sticker sheet and raised them on sticky fixers for more dimension. I then added gold and white paint splatters over the layout.
I love how this layout turned out and enjoyed using all the elements from the collection, if you are still scrapping Christmas do take a look over on the website as it is really gorgeous.
Until next time… Happy Scrapping!
