Tim Holtz Media Marks and Crate Paper Gingham Garden – Part Two – Amy Kattenbelt

Hello Magpies. Amy here today sharing another layout I’ve created using Crate Paper’s Gingham Garden collection and Tim Holtz Media Marks stamp sets #1 and #2.

Ouwehands

For this layout I have used the lined stamps from the above stamp sets together with The Crafters Workshop 12×12 Color Wheel Stencil.

I created the effect by masking off areas of the stencil with scrap paper, and stamping using distress oxide. I stamped half the stencil in a rainbow of colours. The thicker lined stamp for the inner segments and the finer lined stamp for the outer segments

I then die cut my photo into a circle shape, matted it with beige cardstock. Before sticking it to my layout. On the opposite side to my stamping I added vertical stripes of patterned paper. I used the distress tool on the edge to add texture.

I added my title and date using the Doodlebug Puffy Alphabet Soup stickers in beetle black. Opposite this I added a lot of puffy stickers that were little plant pots. I liked how the colours of the pots matched my rainbow stamping.

I finished this layout by adding a lot more puffy stickers, keeping the colours of the stickers matching the colours of the stamping.

I really enjoyed trying this new technique and I would love to see your creations if you decided to give it go. Simply stamp through stencils to create a whole new background!
