This was Awesome | Julie Taylor

Hello Magpies,

Julie back with you again today & I’m sharing my 3rd layout made using the kit I put together. I’ve loved using it & really make you concentrate on just certain supplies & not go looking for extra, which is what I normally do & waste a load of time!!!

I’ve decided to do this layout on black cardstock. I just love how the black makes all the colours pop!! I first added some acrylic paint through a stencil to give the background circle. I’ve used acrylic paint as ink would be lost on the black & acrylic paint sits on top & stays vibrant.

I added white splatters & then set about making up my design. I placed some vertical strips of patterned paper & die cut a strip using the Bumpy Borders set. I laid these centrally & added in a zip & some yellow trim.

I added patterned paper to both my photos & edged the left one with another die cut, this time Notebook & torn paper. I placed them, over the strips, one above the other & on some foam tape.

I’ve embellished around the photos with ribbon loops, tickets, puffy stickers, twine & an exclusive flair badge.

I added the JD3D wood word as my title in the centre of the photos & adhered Bella Blvd Luna Alphabet puffy stickers, around the stencilled circle, in the colours  bell pepper & gulf.

Thanks for joining me today & I wish you a very merry christmas & a happy scrappy new year.

Until next time,
