These Days again – Cocoa Vanilla Studio | Sheena Rowlands.

Hi there Magpies, Sheena here again.

Today I’m sharing with you 2 more layouts featuring the lovely Cocoa Vanilla Studio – These Days collection. This range is just so easy to create with so if you haven’t already seen it hop on over to the shop for a closer look.

Palace Picnic.

I really liked the These Days – Wall of Fame patterned paper & one evening fussy cut all the frames from both a 12×12 sheet and from the A5 paper stack. Using The Good Life paper as my base I laid out some frames until I was happy with how they looked with some going over the edge of the page.

I printed 4 photos small to go over  or under the frames. I wanted to embellish every frame so I had a good look through the floral ephemera and the die cut ephemera looking for pieces to go with the outdoor feel I was trying to create. I added my title using the Mini Puffy alphas to a frame using vellum as the base to help it stand out.

Using more vellum I created shakers with 3 of the frames filling them with coordinated sequins. I added puffy stickers and card stickers to some of the frames. I even wrote my journalling onto vellum with a sharpie before popping it behind a frame.

For my second layout I was drawn towards the These Days –  Family Ties patterned papers with it’s lovely stripes.

There is a process video for this layout here if you would like to watch how it came together.

Lovely.

I cut the stripes from the 12×12  and A5 paper picking out the pink toned ones. They were cut to 6inch lengths, I distressed the edges then machine sewed down the centres. I added a little ink through a stencil to my white cardstock base before  sticking them down  by the centres only.

The 3 square photos were layered with papers from the A5 paper pad and a few frames before being adhered over the stripes. The title word is from the Foam title stickers. I created 3 clusters around the page using fussy cut flowers and butterflies.

I hope these layout inspire you to check out this wonderful range. Do share with us your creations over on our Facebook group and do check out our monthly challenge too.

Till next time x
