The Coppa Club – Simple Stories – For the Record – Wendy Meffan
Hi Everyone! It’s Wendy here sharing my third layout for January using Simple Stories For the Record Collection. I just love all the vibrant colours in this collection.
For this layout I wanted to document our trip to the Coppa Club at Tower Bridge. We have tried to book for the last four years and been unsuccessful so we were very excited to go this December for the experience. The colour in my photos were perfect for the colours in this collection.
I used two tags from the cut apart 12×12 tag paper, and mounted two photos on them. I then mounted the third photo on a journal card from the Journal bits and Pieces alongside. I positioned them diagonally across the page and added another tag to the left as I liked the words on the tag! I raised the photos on sticky fixers for dimension and then started to embellish them.
I used journal ephemera and floral bits and pieces for the photo on the far right along with a decorative brad. For the middle photo I added chipboard stickers and floral ephemera again.
At the top right of the layout I also created a cluster using the floral ephemera, journal bits and pieces and a decorative brad.
To the left side of the layout I used a tag and Journal ephemera along with the Floral bits and pieces to embellish. I raised some of the elements on sticky fixers to give more dimension. I found a heart paper clip in my stash which I used to attach the ephemera to the tag.
Below the photos I used three strips of paper from the 6×8 paper pad, I punched two with scalloped edges. Below these strips I created a cascading cluster to the bottom of the page with a space to journal. I also added decorative brads. Finally I attached the Love ephemera piece from the Journal bits and pieces.
I love how this layout came together and the bright colours helped to make the photos pop on the layout. Do check out this fabulous collection if you haven’t seen it already over in the Hey Little Magpie shop.
Until next time… Happy Scrapping!
