Thankful Autumnal Layout – American Crafts – Farmstead Harvest – Wendy Meffan
It’s Wendy back again with my third layout of the month using American Crafts Farmstead Harvest Collection. this has to have been one of my favourite Autumn collections to date, and has really changed my opinion on all the Autumn colours which have never been my favourites.
I wanted to show case a few more of the papers from the collection so decided to tear a couple of the 12×12 papers and create a lower border to the layout. I then matted my photo and tucked it in between the two layers. From here I used two tags from the 12×12 cut apart tag sheet. I distressed their edges and tucked them behind the photo. I added a few puffy stickers and some of the Ephemera Icon pieces to embellish..
I then created a cluster in the top right of the layout using a tag, more ephemera icons, puffy stickers and some of the velum embellishments. This helped to balance the layout.
When the layout was finished I felt it looked a bit bare so I used the tiny branch stamp from the stamp set in the collection with some distress oxides. Around all the photos and ephemera I kept adding the sprigs and actually really loved the result, When I first started the layout I had done a small amount of stencilling but I wasn’t over happy with it! Using this leafy branch stamp over the top covered it up and gave the perfect effect!
As I have said before do take a look at this gorgeous Autumn Collection if you’ve not seen it over at heylittlemagpie.com
Till next time … Happy Scrapping!
