Taronga Zoo Sydney Scrapbook Layout – Arden Creative Studio – Hidden Creek – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone! I’m so excited to be using the brand new Arden Creative Studio Hidden Creek Collection for two of my April layouts. It is such a beautiful collection suitable for all outdoor photos. I am still documenting slowly my trip to Australia in November 2023. We had a wonderful time in Taronga Zoo in Sydney and the Arden Collection has the perfect colours and embellishments to document it.

In the Collection the paper pack is 8×8 size. I chose two different paper and cut  three 8×8 strips to use as my back ground. I distressed their edge and adhered them to the page in a stepped position. I am a real lover of multiple photos on my pages to show more of an event I’m documenting. I chose five for this layout and backed them all with another paper from the collection. I played around with the position of the photos and eventually settled with them diagonally stepped across the layout.

I started embellishing around each photo using the ephemera, laser cuts and stamps. The clear stamps with the ledger style added extra interest to the background. I used Mowed lawn distress oxide which complimented the collection tones.

The laser cuts and ephemera lend themselves to layering and giving a dimensional effect on a layout. I created clusters around each photo using sticky fixers under some of the elements.

I particularly loved the wellington boots in the laser cuts and they were perfect for photos on a rainy day ! Finally I used mini thickers to add a title to the layout. I chose gold to give a contrast to the colours.
