Sweet Story – Happy Me | Jo Boland
Hello, I hope you are all well? I’m back with another scrapbook layout featuring the gorgeous Maggie Holmes Sweet Story collection from Crate Paper.
I used two patterned papers for my border, the floral one is Posies and the green dot one is Taffy. Both papers have had their centres gutted so I don’t waste anything. The edges of the Taffy paper and the white cardstock have been distressed and I’ve bent in the edges of the cardstock too. I’ve matted my photo on some Taffy paper, raising the top edge of the photo on foam pads. I also raised the title die cut ‘Happy’ on foam pads too. I layered ephemera pieces to the left photo, raising the top corners on foam pads.
To the top right of the photo I’ve added an pink acetate frame underneath and cut sides off the green acetate frame. I’ve added word stickers from the sticker book to the green frame pieces to form tabs. A layered butterfly sits in the top corner of the layout and a puffy bee sticker sits in the corner of the photo collage.
Under the photo I’ve added foam thickers to form the second part of my title. These lovely pink letters have been stuck on top of a clear border label from the sticker book. I’ve embellished this part with chipboard stickers (bee, flower and heart), an acetate flower die-cut. I’ve used a liquid glue to adhere the acetate to the layout, Glossy Accents would be another great choice as it dries clear. The journaling is written on a piece of Buttercup paper and a little puffy heart sticker has been added too.
