Sunkissed – Cocoa Vanilla Studio – Part 1 | Amy Kattenbelt
Hello Scrappers, Amy here, sharing with you two layouts that I have created using the bright and summery ‘Sunkissed‘ collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio. As soon as I saw this collection I knew I needed it. Its such a cheerful, colourful collection that makes scrapping so much fun.
Good Vibe Only
My first layout uses lots of the Project Life 3×4 cards from the Pocket Cards pack. I picked out 6 of the cards to be used in a grid style layout. Colour balance was key, along with picking some cards that I could mat my photos to. I also knew I wanted to add my titles, and also add journalling to the cards.
I trimmed by white cardstock background down to 11.25 inches square and placed it onto an ombre effect patterned paper from the collection called ‘Summer Lights‘. On the beach image card I added the glittery word ‘FUN’ from the Foam Title Sticker pack.
The photos were matted with either another PL card (the top photo) and patterned paper from the A5 paper pack (bottom photo). It was then great fun to embellish these 6 cards with die cuts from the floral pack and ephemera pack, stickers and the cute wooden epoxy button pieces.
I added my journalling to the top left card with mini stamps, and added the ‘love’ glitter foam sticker.
I finished the layout with a little bit of black doodling around the card areas. This helps to break up the white space.
Yum
When I saw the watermelon images in the kit, I knew I wanted to use them with this photo of my son. He is wearing his brightly coloured shirt eating a slice of watermelon. I cut a 6 inch strip of the rainbow ‘Good Vibrations‘ striped paper, and matted it on black card to really make the colours pop.
I fussy cut some of the floral clusters from the patterned paper called ‘Growing Wild‘ and used them as my base to create three clusters of embellishments.
Journalling was added to the watermelon journalling square, cut from the paper called ‘Fun in the Sun‘. Again, I matted it onto black to make it really stand out. I created the ‘Yum!!’ title using the Simple Stories Color Vibe Foam Alphabet in Black. I also added a subtitle above the photo using the Simple Stories Color Vibe Alphabet Stickers from various colourways of the books.
Next I added more of the flowers from the die cut pack, and some of the wooden expoxy buttons. I added all the watermelon imaged items I had, including the cute puffy stickers.
I added fine splatter of black ink around the clusters. Lastly I added some of the black foam asterisks from the same alphabet set as the Yum title.
Thank you for coming to take a closer look at my layouts. I hope I have inspired you to create some colourful bright layouts. We would love to see your creations over on the Hey Little Magpie facebook group. I will back later in the month to share some more layouts using the Sunkissed collection, until then Stay Safe and Take Care,
