Storyline Chapters – Heidi Swapp | Caroline Aston

Hey Magpies, I have my final layout using the Storyline Chapters collection from Heidi Swapp to share with you today. It is a fairly small collection, however I have found that there are plenty of options for both papers and embellishments. I have enjoyed working with the project pads. Having found that they work well for layouts of all different sizes, from 6×8” to 12×12”.   

Perranporth

I began my layout by selecting the 6×4” photo, that I wanted to use. Then started looking through the collection to find the background papers I wanted to include on the page. I loved the mustard yellow repeating pattern, which is the b-side of the Staycation Paper. Choosing to use a whole piece from the 6×8” Paper Pad. This paper was a similar colour to the beach in the photo, which was how I chose the colour scheme for my page.

Next I selected a plain piece of sand coloured paper from the Scrapbooker Project Pad. Adding some interest, by applying some of Vicki Boutin’s Gold Glaze through a stencil from the Let’s Wander collection. I finished my paper layers by matting my photo onto a white pattern from the 6×8” pad. Then used one of the journaling blocks from the Daily Dose Paper, cutting it up to form a banner behind my photo. 

Then I added the title to my page using the Chipboard Alphabet Thickers from the collection. Embellishing the page with stickers from the Project Pad. Selecting three areas to form a visual triangle across the page. 

Finally, I added some gold speckles to the top left and bottom right of the page. Using the gold glaze mixed with a small amount of water to do so. Finishing the page by handwriting the date and my journaling.
