Still Digging those Dies.
Hi there – Sheena here again. My post this month continues on from my last about my love of using thin dies for my pages. I have an electronic cutting machine which I do use but I really like how well the thin metal dies cut through all manner of materials leaving a crisp shape time after time. Also they are ideal for taking to crops & retreats as they can be used in a variety of machines. They can be found in the shop in the Tools section under Die Cutting.
For my first page I used the Die-Namics Die – Ampersand Set.
For Ever & Ever.
The ampersands were all cut from white cardstock then stuck onto another sheet using gesso & given a coat all over. Gelatos in coordinating colours were water coloured around the ampersands & then a sprinkle of Hiedi Swapp Gold Color Shine added.
I had treated myself to some of the American Crafts Dear Lizzy – Serendipity range . I love its fresh spring like colours so I got the 6×6 pad, ephemera gold foil pack plus the Thickers. I grouped the ephemera along with the photo & patterned paper in opposite corners before adding the title. The border is a patchwork of my favourite papers from the 6×6 pad.
For my second page I used the Avery Elle – Aim High Dies.
Serious Contender.
To tie in with my American Crafts foam title I used these dies to cut “funky foam” arrows.
I have always been a Basic Grey fan & for this page I used the last of my Second City stash of paper & stickers. I added a little stamping to continue my adventure theme.
Hope these remind you to Dig out your Dies.
Till next time x
