Creating this layout with the Rustic Legend collection was such a satisfying process, using more photos of a recent stag do. I started with a patterned paper that immediately reminded me of denim, using it as my background. To enhance that effect, I machine stitched around the edges, following the faux stitching already printed on the paper. This simple step really brought the page to life and added an authentic, handmade touch.

For my photos, I selected three favourites and printed them in varying sizes. I arranged them into a loose grid design, which keeps the layout feeling structured without being too rigid. Around the photos, I built up layers using a mix of stickers, ephemera, and foam stickers. I love how dimension starts to develop naturally when combining these elements, giving the page more depth and interest.

To add subtle texture to the background, I incorporated a few rub-ons. These are perfect for filling in empty areas without overwhelming the design. One of my favourite details has to be the foam stag, which I included as part of my title—it was just perfect for my page.

I also die cut the word “do” and inked it using Salted Caramel Dye Ink, from Ranger & 49 and Market, blending tones for a warm, earthy finish. To elevate it further, I wrapped embroidery thread around the letters, adding a tactile element that complements the stitched border.

Overall, this layout feels rich in texture and perfectly captures a rugged, natural aesthetic while still highlighting the memories in a meaningful way.
