SS Safe Travels Mini Book Part 1 | Jo Boland
Hey there fellow Magpies! Jo here with my first blog post for the month of July. This month I’ve chosen to work/play with the new travel collection from Simple Stories called Safe Travels. It has a muted colour palate, retro images and lovely sentiments. Below you can see what I ordered, which is mainly the embellishments and just a few of the papers.
I planned to make a mini-book about an upcoming road trip and I’d not need a ton of papers as it would be photo heavy. For the album itself I chose a Simple Stories 4×6 Sn@p! Flipbook in the Robin’s Egg colourway, plus an extra pack of page protectors. I also grabbed a pack of the new Hey Little Magpie exclusive travel flair badges.
In my mini-book I used the following items from the Simple Stories ‘Safe Travels’ collection.
- 3×4 Elements paper
- 4×6 Elements paper
- Journal Elements paper
- Tags paper
- Take Me Somewhere paper
- Bits & Pieces Die-cut Pack
- 12 x 12 Cardstock Stickers
- Chipboard Stickers
- Enamel Dots
- Puffy Stickers
- Sticker Book
I cut all the cut apart papers up and cut the Take Me Somewhere paper into 4×6″ pieces to fit in the page protectors. I also cut up two sheets of white cardstock in 4×6″ pieces and two sheets of kraft cardstock into 7.5×4″ pieces for extra pages.
