Spring colours!
Hi everyone!
Is your craft room full of new stash right now? Mine is! It’s so nice to have new pretty things to play with. It always boosts my creativity! But… because there is a but… I always tend to forget everything else in my stash as soon as some news enters. Not long time ago (my last blog post) I loved the Hazelwood collection from 1canoe2. And I had so much of it!
… so for this blog post I decided to make layouts with both very new products and some older things. And also include things you probably always have at home!
Happy Heart
My two favorite collections from this spring are Shimelle – Little by Little and Maggie Holmes – Chasing Dreams. Maggie Holmes style always works with my photos, so I bought all the papers. Shimelle has some very bright colours in her collections… I can never use all those colours… so I only bought the papers I really liked from her collection.
And do you know what? The two collections works perfectly together! On top of that… they work perfectly together with Hazelwood too! So now I have 3 different collections to mix and match.
The inspiration for this layout came from the paper from Maggie Holmes… I just added some more strips of paper. The strips are from all the three collections. The washi is from Maggie Holmes. I love the green and the yellow together! The butterflies are both from the ephemera pack and the rub-on pack from Hazelwood. The rub-on pack includes so many super pretty butterflies. I will absolutely use them on more layouts!
The title is from Maggie Holmes and the flair is from Hey Little Magpie. A nice little mix of 3 new collections and some stuff from the stash!
You are the best
Here is another example of how well these 3 collections works together. The yellow paper is from Shimelle, the blue and the black and white are from Maggie Holmes. The flowers are from Hazelwood.
I said earlier “include things you probably have at home”… what did I mean? I meant metal dies, stamps and mist. And just like me, you probably have a stash full of flairs, washi tapes and enamel dots too. Here I used my favorite die from Maggie Holmes. I don’t know if you can get your hands on gold paper anymore. Mine is old. But very useful!
An other thing you probably have at home is the white packaging paper that came with your last order! I save that and think it’s perfect to give a layout a softer look.
