Spectrum Sherbet – Tidal Wave (mostly) – Part Two | 49 & Market | Amy Kattenbelt
Hello Magpies, Amy here with another 12×12 scrapbook layout using the “Spectrum Sherbet” collection by 49&Market. For todays layout I focused on using most of the blues and greens in the collection, called “Tidal Wave”, but I added a few pops of the darkest pink to really pop off the layout.
My layout has been created using a piece of the 12×12 paper from the collection called “Sprinkled“. It is great if you shy away from getting messy with inks and mixed media. To this I added several of the rub-ons to add more colours to the layout. I decided to use the large viewfinder die cut from the ephemera pack. I placed this in the centre of the circle of the patterned paper. To echo the circle shape I added a circular grid rub-on to the lower right of my photo.
My favourite part of creating a layout is picking ephemera pieces to decorate the page. I selected some of the acetate foliage and also the laser cut flowers to add in clusters around my photo, and to the left of the layout to balance the photo area.
I selected a few key pieces in the deep pink to really make my layout pop. I got this idea from seeing my sons red jumper in the photo amongst all the greens and blues. I love how it looks and will be using this idea again for sure! I added a Hey Little Magpie camera flair. I thought the sketchy black lines of the camera really matched the rub-on under it.
I created a small cluster of die cuts down in th ebottom left corner, including some of the punch our pieces from the viewfinder diecut. I also added a red stitched rub-on behind these. Finally to finish my layout I added three white JD3D Print hearts and a little black doodling.
Thanks for coming to take a closer look at my layout.
Take Care,
