Special Delivery – Vicki Boutin – Peppermint Kisses – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone! It’s Wendy here and Im sharing my fist November layout using the  Vicki Boutin Peppermint Kisses Collection. I love the christmassy feel to this collection which is perfect to showcase leading up to Christmas. I love the colours in this Collection too as it covers the traditional green and red but also has a nice mix with pink and teal too!

I do love a piece of ledger paper and so I chose to use the 12×12 Winter magic paper and use the ‘B’ side, as my photo is about posting letters to Santa it was very apt. I am also a a sucker for envelopes so the 12×12 Greetings paper full of envelopes was another must on my list. I decided I would fussy cut several of the envelopes out and then cascade them down the left side of the layout I used a craft knife to cut a slit where the envelope would be opened. This enabled me to tuck pieces of ephemera in to each envelope.I used tags from the journalling ephemera and also ephemera from the Ephemera Icons. I tied twine through the tags and added some holly sprigs and foam stickers. I raised several pieces on sticky fixers to gain dimension on the layout.

 

I matted the photo andit beside the envelopes , I added a special delivery card over the top and then created a cluster to the right using pieces from the Ephemera icons
