Hello Magpies

I’m bringing you a page today using stencils, inks & lots of lovely embellishments available in store to make an individual, eclectic page. If, like me, you like an arty page then there’s plenty of product to achieve just that.

I first added gesso to protect the cardstock & then added some texture paste, through a Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz stencil- Focus & allowed to dry. Now was time to add colour. I did this with a few products. First was Lindys Magicals in Salt Water Taffy, which I sprinkled on (sparingly) & sprayed with water & allowed to run over the stencilling & dried with my heat gun. I then added some Shimmerz paints, Pink A Boo Inklingz, Pink-O-De-Mayo Shimmerz & Pink Lemonade Vibez. All these together gave a lovely pink tonal effect & the Magicals have extra colours running through them so I also got some yellow & blues!!

Once all that was dry I could add my embellishments. I decided to do a banner, at the top, & ‘hang’ all my bits off that. I punched & set 2 eyelets, either side (very old school ) & added all the elements onto some pink bakers twine, threading on buttons, bits from the charm set Girly Girl & a few of the ephemera from the Flea Market 12×12 sticker sheet.

To make the ephemera stand out I sprayed some medical gauze (bandage) with the Pink Lemonade Vibes & added it behind the banner. it gives added colour & great texture.

I’ve added a few of the new 49 & Market color swatch frames in Eucalyptus under my photo to give it some weight.

I made a couple of tassels, out the Simple Stories Flea Market 6×8 paper pad, to draw the eye down to the bottom cluster, where I added the cutest dressing table & a couple of charms from the Girly Girl set, just perfect together!!
