Snow & Cocoa & Christmas

Hi!

It’s time for Christmas! Yay!
I wanted to make something different for this Christmas. And I had a white frame that was waiting to be used for something. So I made a Christmas card display!
I made some kind of double layout with two photos and mixed MME – Comfort& Joy with Crate Paper – Snow & Cocoa. Perfect match! “God Jul” means Merry Christmas in Swedish! I had saved those letters from the old ones from Maggie Holmes. Under the frame I put some string and clothespins. My plan is to hang all the cards we get on the string.

Christmas cards

Every Christmas I struggle with the Christmas cards. Cards are just not my thing… so for this year I tried something new (new for me)! I made a mini layout for every card!
I had a photo session with my daughter and dog in early November. Felt a bit strange… but I needed to take the photos in time. From all hundreds of photos I chose 2 and developed several copies of them. Then I started just as I do with ordinary layouts… with backgrounds. The cards are 15,5*15,5 cm big. And my small layouts are 15*15 cm. When I do Christmas cards, I always try to use up some old stash. The Christmas collection from Crate Paper was a perfect match to some very old Maggie Holmes papers. The gold washi are from Maggie Holmes – Gather, the stamps are some old ones from Elle’s Studio. And I think the collection Joy & Comfort from MME works perfectly together with Crate Paper. I didn’t want too much aqua and pink…

The snowflakes on this card are from American Crafts – All wrapped up. The vellum with the gold stars are very old and just that kind of pretty things I tend to hoard. Any vellum with gold are perfect for Christmas.

You don’t need to only use Christmas papers for Christmas. Any neutral paper with stars works perfectly. Here is one from Crate Paper – Cool Kid.

That’s all from me this time! Hope you feel inspired and try to make all those Christmas cards in time this year!
