Hello Magpies.
Can you believe it’s October already? Where has the time gone!!
This month I got to work with the lovely Print Shop collection from Vicki Boutin. It’s a gorgeous, eclectic collection with something to suit all manner of occasions & topics.
Snapshots
I first added some stencilling & ink splatters onto some white cardstock using Salvaged Patina & Mustard Seed oxide inks.
I used the 6×8 paper pad to add some strips to the left hand side, using a border punch on some of them & hiding the join behind the photo mat. I often use the 6×8 paper pads in this way, it saves cutting into a 12×12 sheet & gives the same result.
I then made up my large photo mat, using mainly elements from the Paperie pack. This is a fab buy, full of tickets, tags, tabs etc which when layered together give a great look. It also has some vellum stickers, great for adding onto your background.
I inked & hand sewed a sunburst from one corner of the photo to depict the sunset in the photo.
I added a smaller cluster, to the right side, to balance the page.
I added my title across the centre & used pieces from the Floral Ephemera pack & the Chipboard Phrase Thickers.
Thanks for joining me today & I can’t wait to get creating with this collection again.
Until next time,
