Snapchat fun! – Amy tangerine – Slice of Life Collection – Wendy Meffan
Hi Magpies, I’m up on the blog again today with two really different layouts using the Amy Tangerine, Slice of Life Collection. I’m amazed at how versatile a collection can be. My first layout is using a photo which matched with the die cut shapes, I created the layout around this.
I used distress oxides to create the background, I cut chevrons from one of the pages from the 6×8 paper pad. I decided to sew through them and then around the edge of the page. I used another sheet from the 6×8 pad to accent the left side of the page.
I tore a small piece in the top of the page and added some backing paper the same as on the left side.
I added the die cut shapes and a small cluster at the bottom of the page. Finally I added some black ink splatters.
LAYOUT 2 ELTON!
This layout is so different to the first one and I went with a rainbow theme from the papers. We had been to an Elton John concert in Australia, there was an ELTON sign all in rainbow colours allowing me to coordinate with this.
I used white card stock and trimmed it down and added a border in the Rainbow Hall 12×12 paper. I cut a strip of this paper to place across the page as a base for the hearts. I used Vicki Boutin acrylic paints and matched the colours across the page, I sprayed the paint with water and let it drip down the page. I used a 6×8 sheet to cut all the hearts out and arranged them in colour order.
I added the die cut shapes again around the photos and used rainbows sand other stickers from the sticker book.
I used the sticker letters from the sticker book to put Elton as the title and added some sticker hearts.
I loved this collection and found the brightness of it all perfect for this selection of photos. It stretched me to use a whole collection and create such different layouts but I am very happy with them.
Pop over to the shop for this lovely collection but hurry before it sells out!
Till next time, happy scrapping!
