Smile! – Simple Stories – Noteworthy – Wendy Meffan
Hi Everyone ! It’s Wendy here and I’m sharing my third layout this month using this gorgeous Noteworthy Collection by Simple Stories. As I said previously the colours were just so perfect for some photos from a wedding we went to where I wore a bright pink dress! I was also particularly sold on this collection by the chipboard frames and loved the Pink Typewriter frame, which I used as a base for my photo.
Due to our positioning in the photo I decided to place the Typewriter frame to the right of my layout and add the SMILE as a title. I fussy cut this from the 6×8 Paper Pad. Having decided this positioning I then used a stencil to create a background for the photo using Kitsch Flamingo distress oxide. As a great lover of dies and I used my tag die to create a tag in the colour I wanted to place behind the photo. I fussy cut the Fun Times tab from the 6×8 paper pad and then added some floral ephemera, card stock stickers and chipboard stickers to finish off embellishing.
The balance of a layout is so important so I decided to make a cluster in the top left of the paper. Again I used a stencil for a background to this. I then cut another tag using my die again to get the colour from the collection I needed. As we were in Australia for the wedding I cut a map of Australia to mount the cluster onto. For the cluster I used chipboard stickers, card stock stickers and a Hey Little Magpie flare badge designed by Sarah for the Where to Next collection by 49 and Market. It’s amazing how versatile these flare badges are and they have been created for all the Paper Collections. I added waxed string through the tags and decided the layout was finished. It is quite simple but draws you to the photo.
Do check out this collection as it is great for documenting events.
Till next time… Happy Scrapping!
