Simple Vintage North Pole December Album | Jo Boland
Hello all. I don’t know about you, but this year I am willing December to come quickly, we all need some Christmas cheer. Hopefully that will mean lockdown is over, fingers crossed the R rate is below 1 and we will be able to go out again. I have made a start on my 2020 December album and this year I’ve chosen to use Simple Stories Simple Vintage North Pole.
For this years album I decided on the Simple Stories Sn@p 6×8″ album in Robins Egg Stripe. These striped albums do not come with page protectors, which was perfect for me as I will be punching holes directly into my pages. You can find more albums to choose from here.
The front cover of my album is decorated with some of the gorgeous supplies from the Simple Vintage North Pole collection. I used a chipboard frame, cardstock stickers, foam stickers, a 3×4″ card from the Sn@p Cards pack and a decorative brad (they are actually stick on brads). The glitter thickers are from my stash.
I used foam pads under the bunting and the red circle sticker to raise them up.
This year I decided to use kraft cardstock for my internal pages, cutting each to 6×8″ so that I could get two pages from a 12×12″ sheet. The leftovers will be kept and used in future projects like a mini book, tags or journaling cards. I covered the lower half with a 6×4″ piece of patterned paper. The patterned papers are from the 6×8″ paper pad with each piece cut in half, except one of each of the large 6×8″ feature designs. I’ve added a strip of washi tape along the top of the papers.

I have used four of these 6×8″ papers for the opening and closing pages, adhering one to each side of a 6×8″ piece of cardstock. How lovely are they? They definitely needed to feature in the album!
I’ll be back at the end of the month with more additions to my album, these will include journaling cards and number embellishments, plus some Christmas card ideas using the collection. In December I will continue to share my album as I document the days and add embellishments.
