Here’s my second layout using Vintage Junk Drawer from Simple Stories. It’s a great collection for layouts of the countryside with a good choice of floral & leafy ephemera. Lovely soft colours too!
HELLO
When choosing the papers for this photo, I knew this dusky blue would work well, so I used it as my base.
I began by cutting 3 strips of patterned paper, one measuring 10″ & two at 7.5″ in length. After distressing the edges, I glued them in place across the centre of the page. I used the top one to add my journalling, using a grey fine liner pen.
Before placing my photo, which measures 4″ x 3″, I cut a rectangle of blue patterned paper, distressed & inked the edges. I wanted to add some interest as well as having a focal point for the photo. After gluing the photo in place, I drew 2 borders around the paper & placed a P.E.T. sticker at the top right corner.
On the right of the photo I added some die cut leaves & two flowers from the March HLM embellishment kit, with a phrase sticker.
On the left I added a cluster of floral stickers, die cut elements & stickers including one for my title. And another PET sticker – these are so useful to pop into little spaces on your layout!
