Simple Stories Summer Snapshots | Julie Taylor
Hello Magpies,
Julie here with you today sharing another layout using the lovely Summer Snapshots from Simple Stories. I’ve loved using this collection & scrapping summer photos, getting me in the mood for a long, hot summer…. hopefully!!!!
I added a block of diluted Salvaged Patina oxide ink, to my background, using a brayer. This gives a look very much the same as the packaging technique but you have more control. I then added 2 stencilled ‘sunbursts’ using Mustard Seed oxide ink through Stampers Anonymous- Tim Holtz Burst stencil at opposite corners.
I cut apart the Take the Shot paper & rearranged it, in the centre of my page, distressing the edges & overlapping the pieces & added some machine stitching.
I added both my photos, on mats of patterned paper from the 6×8 paper pad & added stickers, die cuts & fussy cut pieces to each square, around the photos.
I placed a thin strip of patterned paper at the bottom of the page & added a sticker, out the sticker book & the cute bucket & spade.
My title came from the foam stickers & the exclusive canvas flair was just the right vibe for this page.
Thanks for joining me today.
Until next time,
