Simple Stories – Summer Snapshots | Jackie Ashton
Hi, Jackie here with my 3rd layout for this month. I did something different and ended up making a double page layout, something I’ve not done in a very long time.
For my layouts I used the lovely collection – Simple Stories – Summer Snapshots
There is no process video for this. Here are the details on how I created it.
I had these photographs printed online of James and I floating down the lazy river in Typhoon Lagoon, Florida.
Left Side
I used the 12×12 collection pack, and cut a strip of patterned paper that I placed toward the bottom of my white cardstock.
Then I backed my photograph with various patterned papers from 6×8 paper pad, and added it to the left side of my layout.
For the large title I cut the 4×6 elements paper and added it to the right side of my photograph. By the right of this piece, I added a glassine envelope which included a tag with my hidden journaling from the tag element.
Finishing this page with embellishments from 12×12 Sticker sheet, Sticker Book, Brads,Foam Stickers. I also added a wax seal with a camera design. Tucked behind my layers I used a selection of the printable from this collection here.
Right side
Using the same patterned page from my 1st page, I added this at the same height as my previous page.
I then add 3 No. 6 x 4 photographs across the page, leaving a small border showing of the patterned paper underneath.
Top left – I used a tag from the tag element paper, adding brads and enamel dots. I added a Hey Little Magpie canvas flair to this cluster.
For the title I used mini alphabets from the Sticker Book.
Finishing this page with stickers from Stickers book, sticker sheet and foam sticker sheet. On both my pages I also added some JD3D wood shapes.
I’ve enjoyed creating this double page layout, and how the pages came together.
Don’t Forget to check out our Facebook Group we would love to see what you are working on.
Till next time
Happy scrapping
