Simple Stories So Happy Together Part 2 | Jo Boland

Hey there, it’s Jo back with another batch of projects using the Simple Stories So Happy Together collection. This time I have two scrapbook layouts to share with you.

Here’s a look at what I’d ordered from the collection.

Layout 1 – Love this corner of our home.

My hands down favourite thing in this collection is the wordy paper Our Story, so that formed the main piece of patterned paper on this layout. I layered it on top of two 1″ wide strips of Time Together paper, one under the top edge and one under the bottom edge. The photo is also matted on to a piece of this paper .

I popped my photo up on foam pads and added a cluster of tabs, stickers and a cute camera die-cut to the top corner. The title is made up of ‘LOVE’ and ‘our’ chipboard stickers, little stickers from the sticker pad, and die-cut ‘HOME’ letters. I’ve popped up the letters spelling ‘HOME’ on foam pads to give them dimension.

I’ve added a chipboard house in the corner to represent home.

In the top corner I’ve made a cluster of a die-cut frame, an armchair, hearts, lamp and a journaling label. The frame and lamp are popped up on the top edge with foam pads and the frame string is secured to the background with a mini brad.

Layout 2 – Family Game Night, the holiday edition.

On this layout I used the gingham paper My Squad and the wood paper Hello Love and a little of the Our Story paper under my photo. The top of the photo is popped up with foam pads and a mixture of die-cuts and stickers form a grouping around it.

The title uses the FAMILY stickers from the 12×12 Sticker sheet popped up on foam pads. The blue stickers are from the sticker tablet.

Finally, I added a little cluster at the bottom of the page with a spotty heart which I fussy cut from the 3×4 Elements cut apart sheet. I popped up the red banner die-cut on foam pads, added the pink banner underneath and a heart sticker above.

I used the following items from the Simple Stories ‘So Happy Together’ collection for these layouts; mini sticker tablet, bits & pieces die-cuts, journal bits & pieces die-cuts, 12 x 12 combo stickers and 6 x 12 chipboard stickers.

In my previous blog post I shared this cute little coptic bound mini-book made with this collection. You can check it out here if you missed it.

Thanks so much for stopping by, you can check out the collection here and I’ll see you back on the 10th December sharing my 2019 December Daily album using Snowflake from Crate Paper and a mixture of other papers from different collections. See you then!
