Hi Magpies, Jackie here with my 2nd blogpost using Simple Stories – Vintage Winter Woods collection.

Icy Statues

A few years ago I visited the ice statue exhibition at  Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park.  Everything was made of ice and it was so amazing to see.

To start my layout I used the background patterned paper is from the Basic kit –which is a collection plain co-ordinating double sided papers with a distress effect on both sides.

I matted my photographs with various patterned papers from the 6×8 pad and added 3D foam behind to give them some dimension.

I chose one of the small banners from the 12×12 banner sticker sheet to add to the top left of my layout, adding 3D foam to give it some dimension.

For my title I used a foam word sticker and paired it with alphabets stickers from the sticker book.

For my embellishments I used a selection from the chipboard sheet, sticker book, layer stickers, decorative brads, bits & pieces.

This collection is a lovely different mixed for all your winter layouts, without having the Christmas feel to them.
